Cross Yu is a renowned bartender and mixologist with an impressive career in cocktail competitions, both as a competitor and a judge. He has won numerous prestigious awards, including 42 Below World Cup China Winner (2007), Diageo World Class Cocktail Competition China Final Champion (2009 and 2013), Becherovka Cocktail Challenge China Winner (2010), The Chivas Masters China Winner (2014), and Jameson Bartender’s Ball China Winner (2014). In recent years, he has served as a judge in major competitions, such as Maker’s Mark Future Master China Final Judge (2022-2024), Cointreau Margarita Challenge China Final Judge (2024), and Diageo World Class Cocktail Competition China Final Judge (2024). Additionally, in 2024, he was selected as the World Class Global Final Host, further solidifying his position as a leading figure in the mixology industry.

With a passion for hospitality and storytelling, she drives innovation in both mixology and brand experiences.
John has 15 years of experience managing bars and hotels, including luxury hotels and cocktail bars. Raised in Hong Kong and educated in Switzerland, he developed a diverse perspective. In 2008, he joined a luxury hotel group, working his way up from bartender to bar manager. In 2016, he became Asia Pacific Brand Ambassador for Michter’s Whiskey, expanding the brand to over 15 countries. He also developed a passion for fine wines and spirits, building a personal collection of 500 bottles. Currently, John is Wine and Spirits Director at TK Tasting Kitchen Magazine and serves on The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy Chair, overseeing Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.
